Tasks:
Design a platform for communication between citizens and authorities that incorporates a comprehensive range of features and a user-friendly interface. Include forum user communication tools, research capabilities, and full event organization functionalities. Create multiple user profiles and an administrative panel for managing the portal, moderating content, and user management.
Decision:
Create a web-based service with features that meet the requirements of clients and users - publishing material, communication, creating tools for virtual events, content control on the platform, research, and analytics.
During the research for the design, we considered the communication experience of existing social network users and how users communicate with each other. Consequently, an important benefit of the project is the convenient access to portal tools and sections from mobile devices. A great deal of attention was paid to this objective during development. The platform has a modern aesthetic and an intuitive interface, since most users are active social network users and often use mobile devices for messaging, social networking, publishing, and viewing content.
Implementation:
We identified necessary functions for our client and his audience, then tested several implementation options to make them user-friendly and straightforward. We wrote the terms of reference, breaking down the components into sections and outlining the steps of implementation, making the process simple and comprehensible for the client. After analyzing the requirements and habits of the target audience, we concluded that the project's main feature should be a forum, as our customer's target group is used to conversing there.
Hence, the forum serves as the center of the resource. It is incorporated into the platform's environment so each area of the portal has a post or exchange related to it.
The portal was created to ensure suitable user experience and handle high amounts of traffic. It is structured in a way that allows the users to select the most suitable content for them through convenient filters. Furthermore, we have also incorporated UX solutions to make navigating the portal easier.
Tools and Solutions:
In order to meet the customer's needs and provide the functions the portal users require, we have integrated a selection of tools: an admin panel with the capacity to control user roles, all portal material, moderate messages and comments, organize video meetings and utilize research tools.
