Development of a Website, Smart Contract, and DAPP for the Worldwide Token

Main Requirements:

  • Development of a token website for convenient and informative interaction with current and future users.
  • Smart contract development for the token on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC).
  • Development of a decentralized web application (DAPP).

Our team was tasked with creating three products to implement a blockchain business model. We needed to build a platform for crypto enthusiasts to earn not only the Worldwide token but also additional popular tokens like Ethereum, BNB, Bitcoin, and others.

Firstly, we focused on creating a website to inform existing users and attract new ones. We designed the website based on the client's input, including the logo they provided and the style gathered from interviews and examples of preferred websites. The resulting single-page website covers information about the Worldwide token, its founders, how it works, the roadmap, token economics, and special features.

Simultaneously, we worked on developing the smart contract for the token and creating a decentralized application (DAPP).

Token Specifications:

  • Blockchain: Binance Smart Chain (BSC)
  • Token Ticker: WORLD
  • Maximum Token Supply: 10,000,000 WORLD
  • APY: 77% per annum
  • Rebase Schedule: $World undergoes rebases every 15 minutes automatically.
  • Burn function.
  • Not mintable.

In the contract, we implemented taxes on token purchase, sale, and transfer. We also included a Rebase function where token holders receive 0.1566% profit from their token amount every day, with calculations occurring every 15 minutes, utilizing a compound interest formula. Additionally, we formulated tax distribution for buy, sell, and transfer transactions.

Tax Distribution:

BUY

  • 10% tax on buy transactions.
  • 70% to Treasury
  • 15% to The World Pool
  • 15% Vaporized Automatically

SELL

  • 10% tax on sell transactions.
  • 70% to Treasury
  • 15% to The World Pool
  • 15% Vaporized Automatically

TRANSFER

  • 2% transfer tax in $World.
  • 1% sent to Treasury (in $BNB)
  • 1% allocated to the World Pool (in $WORLD)

As part of the tax, various pools collect funds. One of them is the World Pool, from which each token holder receives a percentage based on their token holdings relative to the total World token value held by all holders. This additional reward can be claimed once a day.

We also implemented a referral system where a participant receives 0.5% of all operations conducted by the person they referred.

In addition, the contract includes what are known as WWEvents. Participation in the giveaways of other coins can be on a paid or free basis, with the reward calculation algorithm being similar to the one described above. The combination of all these activities creates additional value and provides the project with a steady income for development.

The third stage of project development involved creating a decentralized application (DAPP). Here, token holders can manage their assets and create additional monetization opportunities. They can claim their Rebase every 15 minutes, make a daily claim in World, and participate in and collect rewards in Events.

The design of the DAPP was executed in the style of the main website. The goal was to log in users, and we needed to determine if they have the World token in their wallets. Since we are on the Binance Smart Chain, we decided to integrate MetaMask for user wallet recognition.

We integrated it in a way that allowed us to see the balance of our token for each participant. For transparency, token owners could not only see their Rebase and Claim balances but also the token amounts in the pools from the previous day and the accumulated amounts for the current day.

Everything was thoroughly tested on the BSC Testnet several times, but it didn't prevent us from encountering issues later on.

To launch the product successfully, we needed a solid partner, and for startup launches, we chose Pink Sale. We launched twice on this platform. In the first launch, the client set a high entry point, aiming to sell their tokens in the range of a minimum of 750 to a maximum of 1500 BNB, equivalent to approximately $165,000 to $330,000. The token price was set at $7. Initially, things went well, raising around $120,000 in the first 5 hours. However, sales halted, and we canceled the launch to restart. People received their funds back. For the second attempt, we decided to reduce everything by 10 times, lowering the token price to $0.7. The minimum sale amount was $15,000, and the maximum was $30,000.

We chose these entry thresholds based on the trust we observed from the community, approximately $120,000. Our logic was that by selling $30,000, we would have around $80,000 remaining from people interested in purchasing the product on the exchange with a currency pair, which turned out to be beneficial for us. After the relaunch, sales closed in 7 seconds, selling $30,000 worth of World tokens. This set a record on Pink Sale for token sales.

Everything started working, and we launched the BNB to World trading pair with a maximum price of $3. At that time, the liquidity pool was $15,000, and within the first week, the pool balance almost doubled, indicating the correctness of our steps.

We launched, tested, processed support tickets, and onboarded new users who joined our Discord, which was well-organized by the client, including support tickets. We processed numerous questions since the product, user flow, and business model were new, and many users didn't fully understand them. Users needed clarification on aspects like claiming and rebasing since it was a new approach in the market.

Later on, we faced the challenge of attracting new holders. To address this, we decided to revamp the website to appeal to a new audience showing interest in the token due to the founders' marketing efforts. At this stage, we added more information about the product and earnings opportunities, along with statistical data on the monetary equivalent of earnings for active token holders.

In the course of events, we encountered a major issue that we didn't notice during development. In the whitepaper, the transaction tax was supposed to be - 10% for buy and sell, and 2% for transfer. During development, many algorithms related to each other were implemented, resulting in a buy tax of only 4.6%. This was a significant problem as, during the first week, there was a large volume of purchases, and we lost a substantial amount. To address this, we raised the sell tax to 15.4%, intending to balance the situation. However, users were reluctant to sell because they realized they could earn not only on the World token but also on other tokens in events, such as Ethereum, BNB, Bitcoin, and more.

This led to the next challenge: how to redeploy the contract when, according to the terms of collaboration with Pink Sale, we couldn't access the liquidity pool for 12 months from the launch date. This was a critical issue because, without access, we couldn't do anything. The decision was made to inform all token holders, around 500 people at that time, that we wanted to buy back our liquidity pool by selling a large amount of tokens at once. In 1 second, we bought back 80-85% of the entire liquidity, around $24,000. On the same day, we deployed the second version of the contract and refilled the liquidity that we bought back, maintaining the same price. We informed Pancake Swap, the platform where the token is traded, about these changes. We took a snapshot of all token holders beforehand, dropped all their tokens to zero at the new contract address after deployment.

In conclusion, having traversed a complex yet fascinating development path, we rectified mistakes, and now everything works correctly. This project is a living entity that functions, evolves, and attracts new users. The founders continue to develop new visions for the project's growth, support, and earning opportunities. Our team, on its part, continues to implement the technical aspects of the project's development.
