Background

TYKWALAND, an e-commerce platform with a decade of experience in Ukraine, is continuously expanding. Throughout those years, the store has provided amazing customer service and a broad selection of products which is regularly renewed. Thousands of customers utilize the store on a daily basis, buying items that can be used for everyday life, job tasks, leisure activities, and to lift one's spirits.

The Challenges

We were assigned a captivating mission - to move an offline business to the internet. The customer had multiple physical stores across Ukraine but no online shop. The objective wasn't just to create a website but to concoct a business concept: how to link the physical points with the online store, modify price lists for online use, specify the job description of managers, and so on. Before starting the project, we identified the primary goals which had to be achieved:

  1. Conduct an investigation into the client's company to determine their current operations, and provide suggestions for enhancements and additions.
  2. Examine rival companies, their products and missteps.
  3. Examine the mediums most frequently used by the intended demographic, and observe their likes and needs.
  4. Formulate an idea for the project.
  5. Fully develop all aspects of the project's functionality.
  6. Design the UI/UX of the web portal to ensure the most optimal user experience.
  7. Construct the layout of the web portal.
  8. Implementation of the technical aspects of the project, including scripts that present the data in an easily understandable way.
  9. Populating the project with material.

The Process

The Promodex group resolved to carry out the project in the following steps:

  1. Carry out a niche and competitor assessment to recognize advantages and disadvantages.
  2. Develop an idea for a project and create a detailed plan.
  3. Carry out an analysis of search queries to create the semantic core of the website.
  4. Construct a website architecture according to the key semantic concepts.
  5. Develop the UI/UX of the project using the analytics as a guide.
  6. Create website design.
  7. Implement the necessary work pool for both the front-end and back-end sections.
  8. Examine the project through load tests, usability analysis, performance evaluation, and security checks.
  9. Populating the project with material.

Deliverables & Impacts

The Promodex crew accomplished the design project within 35 days, from the customer's concept through to the establishment of the e-commerce store and its initiation.

  1. A sophisticated online store has been created which offers both simplicity in use and an attractive design.
  2. Options associated with this have been put into effect.
  3. The integration of 1C ERP, SMS mailing services, and marketplaces has been accomplished.
  4. The page loads quickly.
