Web portal for EU-funded digital whistleblowing project
Background
The EuroPAM database is part of a DIGIWHIST initiative, which has been bankrolled by the European Union and is designed to strengthen confidence in governments and enhance the effectiveness of public expenditures in Europe. This is accomplished by providing citizens, investigative journalists, and public servants with the data and resources they need to make public spending more open and ensure that public officials remain answerable.
The Challenges
Prior to the commencement of the project, we identified the fundamental tasks that had to be completed:
- Create an idea for the project to show a considerable amount of varied data in a user-friendly way.
- Carry out a thorough development of all functional parts of the project.
- Design the UI/UX of the web portal to guarantee the most user-friendly experience with the project.
- Create the layout of the web portal
- Executing the project technically, including the scripts specifically created for displaying data in an accessible way.
- Populating the project with material.
The Process
The Promodex squad chose to roll out the venture in the following steps:
- Develop a project concept with a comprehensive specification.
- Conduct an examination of search requests to assemble the semantic core of the website.
- Construct a website hierarchy using the semantic core.
- Design the user interface and user experience of the project according to the analytics.
- Execute website design.
- Execute the necessary labor force on both the front-end and back-end components.
- Evaluate the project by conducting tests on load, usability, performance, and security.
- Populating the project with material.

In a period of 36 business days, the Promodex squad accomplished a comprehensive solution: from the customer's demand to the website's initiation, mobile application, and release.
- The website achieved a score in the green range of PageSpeed Insights, which is a key factor for its SEO performance.
- A particular javascript has been created to show graphs on the website's content pages.
- The site was packed with material, considering the vast amounts of information that had to be displayed in a clear, understandable way.
