Must-have features for a coaching center mobile app. All-in-one in TRIARE’s Stadami case.

Why an all-in-one coaching app needs more than basic booking

An all-in-one coaching app’s goal is to help its users find a coach, set a schedule for training, get a chance to pay for this, and be in the loop wth the coach whenever they need. That’s what well-designed apps actually provide to people who are finding ways to improve their health.

The booking step is just the start of the whole process, and the feature itself doesn’t cover the users' needs completely. When developing the Stadami app, we combined search, payment, communication, and user engagement tools.

In wellness app development, it’s important to consider the needs of both parties: the client is looking for a suitable workout, while the trainer organizes their work and grows their practice. When these tasks are integrated, the platform can support long-term collaboration. The business value of such a product lies in the convenience of repeat use and the ability to organize trainers’ work.

User and coach profiles: How TRIARE designed Stadami for two-way interaction.

During the Stadami app development, we delivered two-way interaction through two separate types of wellness apps – for users and coaches (iOS and Android apps). Thus, users can book classes at the time they need, and trainers can create them to show potential clients free time slots. A chat feature was also included for communication as a convenient interaction option. This division helps build interfaces around different tasks and specific needs from the coach and user side.

Overall, Stadami represents a platform that brings together supply and demand. A profile helps users evaluate a specialist, and the interface clearly indicates the next step. Designing a smooth experience for trainers helps create a better experience for clients too. With this in mind, the TRIARE team brings clients’ ideas into reality.

Coach search, geolocation, and class search in the Stadami app

The TRIARE team realized coach search, available class search, and integrated geolocation to help both coaches and users to find what they need. In fitness training, location influences the choice: even a suitable program might not work out if it’s too far away. At the same time, searching for a specific trainer and searching for a class serve different user intentions. The former starts with choosing a specialist, while the latter begins with the desired activity format.

When selecting a tech stack for the Stadami app, we aligned geolocation with the search logic. As a result, location data helps users find relevant offers, and the results provide a clear path to booking.

Online, personal, and group training: Flexible booking features from Stadami.

For Stadami, we built booking for both one-on-one and group sessions. Trainers can create their offers, while clients can find the right workout, choose a format, and pay directly in the app.

The setup is flexible enough to support different needs. Online sessions make remote training possible, one-on-one sessions allow for a more personal approach, and group workouts add a social element. These options can overlap, too: an online session can be either individual or group-based. That’s why the booking flow needs to clearly separate the session format from the number of participants.

For trainers, this makes services easier to organize. For clients, it makes booking conditions clearer and helps them quickly choose the option that works best for them.

Integrated payments, packages, and loyalty programs for coaching apps

Payment processing, support for workout packages, and a loyalty program featuring points, discounts, and coupons address various business objectives. That’s why they require great attention from the development team to integrate them and ensure they perform well.

Payment finalizes the service purchase, packages offer a format for long-term engagement, and rewards create an incentive to return. Their value depends on how clear the terms are to the user. Before making a purchase, a user should be able to see the package contents, the total cost, and the rules for applying incentives. For the platform owner, it’s important to align incentives with the economics of the services. The loyalty program should encourage regular workouts and remain straightforward and beneficial for both clients and trainers. All of these were realized into the Stadami app to make its use clear and convenient in terms of loyalty and payments.

Communication and engagement: Chat, reviews, achievements, and recommendations.

At Stadami, we added chat, ratings and reviews, achievement tracking, and a referral program. Each of these features supports a different part of the user journey.

Chat makes it easy to clarify class details, reviews help users make more confident choices, achievements can keep people motivated, and referrals give them a simple reason to bring friends into the platform.

From a business perspective, these features work best when they lead to real actions – booking a workout, leaving feedback, or coming back for another session.

That’s why engagement shouldn’t be measured by clicks alone. The more meaningful signals are repeat bookings, continued interaction with trainers, and whether both sides keep getting value from the experience.

Coach dashboard and admin panel: Stadami's back office.

Now, Stadami trainers have a calendar to manage their classes, while administrators can handle content, filter data, create reports, send invitations, and manage discounts and coupons. This keeps everyday trainer tasks separate from overall platform management. Trainers need a simple way to organize their schedule and services, while the admin team needs a clear view of what’s happening across the platform and tools to keep information up to date.

For a product like Stadami, the back office matters from day one. Every new offer, campaign, or update needs to be managed somewhere. The easier these internal tools are to use, the more the team can handle on its own without relying on developers for routine changes.

Building a scalable coaching app: TRIARE's approach to performance, security, and future growth.

For Stadami, we used AWS, tested performance, and optimized the infrastructure. During payment integration, we took security requirements into account as well. When running the discovery phase, we defined the first release and future updates. This approach aligns the technical foundation with the product development plan.

As the platform grows, the volume of searches, messages, and transactions increases, so user scenarios must be tested. Security also requires special attention to data access and processing. Cloud infrastructure provides the tools for development, while stability depends on configurations, checks, and ongoing maintenance tailored to the service’s actual workload.

Conclusion

When developing a training platform, it’s important to start by aligning the needs of clients, trainers, and the team that will manage the service. The Stadami case study shows just how closely their daily tasks are intertwined: convenience for one party depends on the capabilities of the other. That’s why it’s crucial for a new product to define the complete scenarios for the first release and the criteria for its quality.

At TRIARE, we suggest starting with a discussion of the business model, target audience, and development plans. This will help clarify which features are needed for launch, how they will work together, and what solutions should be planned for the platform’s future expansion.
